Eye Love Buzz - Help Buzz Have A Better Quality of Life ($1,500 of $1,500 raised!!) Thank you, all!!

This is Buzz - a wonderful amazing cat who is around 13 years old and brings me all the love and joy you could imagine. He’s super social and loves to be a part of the action! (Check out his Instagram at @purrpressure)

As you may notice - his right eye is swollen and under immense pressure likely causing constant headaches. He’s been on eye drops for about a year and unfortunately, the pressure is becoming too great and his right eye needs to be removed. As stated by the Metroplitan Veterinary Associates where he saw a kitty opthamalogist:

"Buzz has been diagnosed with glaucoma in the right eye. Glaucoma is a disease that affects the retina and optic nerve and often leads to blindness and/or pain. Elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) usually accompanies glaucoma. Unfortunately, Buzz's intraocular pressure is no longer being controlled with medical management. I recommend right eye removal for long-term comfort." - Chloe Spertus, DVM, DACVO

His surgery is scheduled for Thursday October 21 2021 at Family Pet Clinic in Southampton, PA and will cost approximately $1,500 for the surgery and blood work needed. I'm able to put $500 towards his surgery, but the rest is pretty tough … and this is where you, my close friends, come in ❤️

Asking for money is not something I am comfortable doing, so this is very much out of my comfort zone, but, everyone needs help now and then and I need to get better at asking for help. Asking for help allows others to practice generosity, and there are positive benefits all around when we give when we can.

Buzz says “thank you!!” in advance to anyone who can help him out to get this surgery happening for him.

If you have the ability to donate to his surgery, Buzz and I would be increidbly grateful. It all adds up, even a $5 donation would mean a lot to me, and in turn if you need help down the line, I’m sure I will also give to you what I can.

How to Help

The surgery is right around the corner and a CrowdFund/GoFundMe would have a tough turnaround, so I’m actually sharing my Venmo (@jenlynnjaynes) information as a way to share your support. If you don't have Venmo, PayPal works great too by searching for jenlynnjaynes@gmail.com at PayPal.com. Or if you want to go the cash or check route - that is wonderful too! Please email me at jenlynnjaynes@gmail.com and we can figure out a way to connect/mail your donation.

If you’ve met Buzz, you know how awesome and special he is. I really hope this surgery allows him to have a better quality of life and happiness ❤️💜🧡💜
